CCR Instructor course

 

This Program is designed to develop qualified IANTD CCR Instructors.

※Instructor qualified on specific rebreather such as rEvo, Prism 2, Megalodon, Pathfinder, Inspiration Classic/Vision, Evolution, Kiss Classic, Kiss Orca spirit, Kiss idekick m-CCR, SF2 Back mount/Side mount, Liberty  

 

Prerequisites

  1. The Candidate must be a qualified IANTD Advanced EANx Instructor, or take the IEC with the CCR IEC.

  2. The Candidate must be a qualified CCR Diver.
    a. The Candidate must provide proof of a minimum of 150 logged dives, of which at least 100 dives including 100 hours of run-time were on the CCR on which they are becoming an instructor
    b. An IANTD CCR Instructor doing an IANTD Instructor Crossover from one (1) CCR to another CCR must log a minimum of 30 dives and 40 hours on the CCR prior to attending the Instructor Crossover IEC.

  3. The Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

 

Program Content

  1. The Candidate must assist in at least one (1) complete CCR Program prior to or in conjunction with the IEC.

  2. The Candidate must demonstrate proficiency use of slides on the CCR, demonstrate and grade water skills in confined water and on at least six dives.

  3. The Candidate pass the written theory and water skills evaluations with a minimum score of 80%.

  4. IANTD Instructor crossover from one (1) CCR to an other CCR.
    a. IANTD CCR Instructor crossing to a different CCR will attend an IEC but will only be expected to demonstrate and lecture on the electrical and or mechanical difference. The candidate will demonstrate teaching proficiency in evaluating water skills in a confined water session and on two (2) dives.
    b. Instructors crossing over from another Agency to IANTD will demonstrate knowledge of IANTD Standards & Procedures and the use of applicable IANTD teaching materials. The candidate will complete one (1) confined water session and a minimum of two (2) open water dives demonstrating the ability to teach CCR skills per IANTD Standards.
    c. Pass the written theory and water skills evaluations with a minimum score of 80%.

  2. Excludes: Manual, Certification fee, Gas, Sofnolime, Rent of Rebreather
